Artists' Workshop 'At Home' with Ngaio Marsh and 'The Group'

An event for all artists and art lovers. A tour and art experience in the former home and garden of Dame Ngaio Marsh.

Bring your sketch pad, pens and pencils to Ngaio Marsh House. Find inspiration in Ngaio's house and garden and produce your own piece of art for our 2021 'Group' exhibition.

Dame Ngaio Marsh was a celebrated writer of crime fiction, talented artist and successful theatre director. Find out more about the story of her life by visiting her former home and garden.

Take a guided tour and view the art of Ngaio, her friends and 'Group' members.

Visitors will need to bring their own sketching equipment and especially a chair/stool if they wish to sit and sketch. The organisers will have limited pads and pencils available. 'Artists' will need to carry their own equipment up the steep access path or be dropped off, vehicle parking on Valley Road or Crichton Terrace only. There are 3 accessible parking spaces.
