Antarctica expeditioners - past and present

Traditional wreath laying ceremony at Captain Scott's statue to celebrate all past and present Antarctica expeditioners.

Open invitation to recognise all Antarctic expeditioners, past and present, with the wreath laying ceremony at Scott's Statue, a tradition commenced in the 1930s when Admiral Richard Bryd laid a wreath there. 

This event is held immediately after the service of blessing at the Transitional Cathedral, estimated start time 11.30am

Join together with the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Antarctic Society, Antarctica NZ and The Antarctic Office, and ChristchurchNZ at this feature event.
