Jellie Park-Lease to High Performance Sport New Zealand Limited .

The Council is considering granting a lease to High Performance Sport New Zealand Limited to operate a high performance sports Centre (The Apollo Centre).

The Council is proposing to grant a ground lease under Sections 54(1)(b) and (c) of the Reserves Act 1977 to High Performance Sport New Zealand Limited to continue to operate a high performance sports Centre (known as The Apollo Centre)at Jellie Park for a final fixed short term period before relocating to the new Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre in Central Christchurch.  The proposed term of lease is for four (4) years commencing 1 July 2021.  The commencement date is backdated to include the period of holding over of the previous Canterbury Earthquake Warrant Authorization upon expiry.  For further details contact Grant McIver, Leasing Consultant - grant.mciver@ccc.govt.nz, 03941-8522.

Any person or organisation wishing to either make a submission or object to the proposed lease may do so in writing no later than 5pm Monday 10th October 2022 to the contact person described above. Submitters should indicate in their submission if they wish to appear before a hearings panel to be heard in support of their submission or objection.
