Notice of Road Stopping

Portions of Avonhead Road (West) and Grays Road

In May 2015 the Christchurch City Council (“Council”) gave public notice of its intention to stop certain portions of Avonhead and Grays Roads adjoining the Christchurch International Airport and Dakota Industrial Park.

The Council has pursuant to the provisions of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1974 (“Act”) now completed all actions necessary to stop that part of those roads as is shown as Section 2 on Survey Office Plan 472365 as legal road.

The stopping of Section 2 on Survey Office Plan 472365 as legal road has been confirmed by the Environment Court, subject to conditions.

Accordingly, notice is hereby given that the Council declares that the legal road shown as Section 2 on Survey Office Plan 472365 is stopped, and that the road shall subject to the Council’s compliance with clause 9 of Schedule 10 of the Act, thereafter cease to be a road.
