The Council has approved the temporary closure of the following roads for the following events:

Coast to Coast 2026

Road to be closed

  • Marine Parade- Beresford Street to Hawke Street

Period of closure

  • from 9:00am on Saturday 14th February to 1:00am Sunday, 15th February 2026.

Events At Apollo Projects Stadium

Roads to be closed

  • Jack Hinton Drive from Whiteleigh Avenue to Twigger Street
  • Twigger Street from Lincoln Road to Jack Hinton Drive

Period of closures

  • From 1.30pm to 6.30pm Sunday 22 February 2026
  • From 5pm to 10pm Saturday 14 March 2026
  • From 5pm to 10pm Friday 3 April 2026
  • From 3pm to 8pm Saturday 18 April 2026

Electric Avenue 2026

  • Summit Road from Mount Pleasant Road to End (Godley Head cattle stop)
  • Evans Pass is proposed to remain open under manual traffic control

Super Cars Championship

Roads to be closed

  • Buchanans Road from Pound Road to West Coast Road 
  • Hasketts Road from Barters Road to West Coast Road
  • Barters Road from Maddisons Road to 810 metres Northwest of Maddisons Road
  • Leggett Road – Entire length

Periods of closures

  • From 6am to 10pm daily on 17, 18 and 19 April 2026

These closures are to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974.

The closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, public transport services, vehicles directly involved with the event and event permit holders.

No access will be available to vehicles that do not hold an event permit for access during the period of these closures.
