An impressive line-up of Kiwi talent will take to the stage in Hagley Park this Saturday for a free outdoor concert that will help you get into the Christmas groove.

Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park kick-starts the festive season in Christchurch and has been a popular fixture in the city’s calendar for more than two decades.

This year’s concert is being headlined by award-winning soul singer Hollie Smith and will also feature Lavina Williams, Caleb Jago-Ward, Maaka Fiso, Jessie Cassin, Ella Monnery and Josh Leys.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and will finish with a fireworks finale just after 10pm.

If you are going to the concert, make sure you plan your journey and allow plenty of time to get there.

Park Terrace will be closed between Dorset Street and Bealey Avenue from 5pm to 11.30pm and detours will be in place.

There will be no general public parking in Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens car park will be closed to incoming traffic from 3pm on Saturday, with the exception of mobility card holders. For parking options in the central city, visit the Council’s website.

A drop-off zone will be available in Park Terrace.
