Community Board grants to assist individuals and groups in their local area to undertake small community projects.

Apply for a grant of up to $500, get your community event or project of the ground and bring some light to your community.
Applications for projects by groups, individuals and organisations will be considered. The project must benefit people living in the Waitai Coastal-Burwood-Linwood Community Board area. Funding will not be considered for projects already undertaken.
You will be informed of the outcome of your application within two to four weeks.

Apply for a grant of up to $1,000 to activate swimming in your community.
The Swimming Accessibility and Activation Fund provides grants for projects that activate swimming activities in the Waipuna Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton board area.
These projects can take place at any swimming facility, including Christchurch City Council facilities and community pool facilities.
Applications will be considered from community groups with charitable and/or incorporated society status, or an informal group with a bank account in the group name.
Projects must benefit participants who live in the Waipuna Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton board area.
