Council is commissioning sculptural works for Marine Parade, in Ōruapaeroa New Brighton. We are looking for work which will enhance and contribute to amenity and respond to this amazing environment, landscape and history of the area.

New Brighton MallNgāi Tūāhuriri and Ngāi Tahu associations with the area are the primary narrative influences for the artworks to be commissioned for New Brighton’s Marine Parade and mall area.

With significant development in the area, through this commission we seek to further enhance the innovative architecture and evolving public realm with works that inspire, delight and engage the community, city and visitors.

This will be a landmark artwork for Ōtautahi Christchurch.
