These terms and conditions apply to any session booked at the Sensory Aqua Centre.
Please ensure you have fully read and understood the following terms and conditions. These are your responsibilities as the Hirer when booking a session in the Sensory Aqua Centre.
By making your booking, you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.
Payment for each participant is required on arrival at Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre, either:
The entry fee covers the cost of the Sensory Aqua Centre and access to all pools in the facility.
All fees quoted at the time of making the booking are GST inclusive.
Hirers must be aged 16 years or older. Minimum age to use Sensory Aqua is 6 months.
Please give yourself plenty of time to change into swimwear prior to the start of your session.
Please ensure that all participants wear appropriate swimwear and continence products. Continence products are available at the main Customer Experience desk
We ask that a support person or caregiver attends the session with all participants and provide active and constant supervision.
There is no charge for accompanying adults or caregivers.
All hirers must adhere to the pool alone policy and general rules of entry for Christchurch City Council Recreation and Sports Centres(external link).
If the Hirer wishes to change their booking, this can be done via text, email or via the online booking system:
The Hirer will comply at all times with Council's health and safety policies and procedures for the Facility as advised to the Hirer from time to time and the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (and any subsequent amendments).
If the Customer cancels the Booking, the following cancellation provisions apply:
In all cases, where possible, the Multisensory Facilitators appreciate advance warning of cancellation. This allows opportunity for space to be rebooked.
From time to time, Council may have to close (unplanned closure) or choose to close (planned closure) the whole or part(s) of the Facility for repairs, general maintenance and refurbishment, civil defence or health and safety emergencies. Emergency management situations (where the Facility is required for response or recovery purposes), and maintenance requirements will take precedence over all other activity, including the Booking, in accordance with Council's venue hire booking policy.
If the Booking is cancelled by Council due to an unplanned closure, planned closure or preferential booking, Council will give the Hirer a full refund for any fees the Customer may have paid in relation to the Booking.

All other capitalised terms have the meaning given to them in the details of the Booking, which are to be read in conjunction with these terms and conditions.
