This details the technical requirements for the design and construction, repair or renewal of Christchurch City’s public potable water supply treatment, pumping station and reservoir stations.
All design and construction work at water supply treatment plants, pump stations and reservoirs must follow the Water Supply, Treatment, Pumping Station and Reservoir Design Specification [PDF, 499 KB] - please note this is complementary to the IDS and CSS. This design specification/standard also explains the process required to transfer the asset to Council.
Commissioning, handover and project signoff requirements can be found in the Design Specification. As-built requirements can be found in the Design Specification, and at the As-built survey and data requirements page, and in Parts 7 and 12 of the IDS. Typically fully CAD'd as-built drawings, a Reticulation CAT sheet and a Station CAT sheet usually all need to be submitted for work at Water Supply Stations.
The Pro-forma generic electrical and automation specification [PDF, 1.6 MB] and the pumping station O&M manual (OMM) template [DOC, 735 KB] draft must also be followed when preparing the pumping station design and documentation, along with the CWW tagging convention [PDF, 922 KB].
