Building consents

Vetting applications within:

  • Two working days.

Start processing a consent application within:

  • 14 working days for residential.
  • Five working days for commercial.

November 2024 Statutory processing timeframes of within 20 working days:

  • 99.4% for residential (December to date: 98.8%)
  • 79.4% for commercial (December to date: 75%)

Inspections

Last updated: 2 December 2024.

The current average timeframe to book an inspection is:

  • 10 working days for residential.
  • Three working days for commercial.

We are currently handling a high volume of inspection requests. We understand the inconvenience caused by delays in inspections, and we are actively working to minimise the waiting period.

Code compliance

Last updated: 16 December 2024.

Start processing a code compliance certificate application within:

  • 12 working days for residential.
  • Five working days for commercial.

November 2024 statutory processing timeframes of within 20 working days:

  • 96.8% for residential (December to date: 95.3%).
  • 100% for commercial (December to date: 94.1%).
