Apply for Koru Fund funding

Apply for a grant of up to $500, get your community event or project of the ground and bring some light to your community.

Applications for projects by groups, individuals and organisations will be considered. The project must benefit people living in the Waitai Coastal-Burwood-Linwood Community Board area. Funding will not be considered for projects already undertaken.

You will be informed of the outcome of your application within two to four weeks.

How it works

  1. Complete the application form.
  2. You may then be contacted by an advisor to discuss your application if approved for funding:
  3. Send in photographs and a short report on how things went to Coastal-Burwood-Linwood@ccc.govt.nz. Please contact us if you need help with this.

The Off the Ground Community Fund provides financial assistance to residents of Spreydon, Cashmere and Heathcote Wards who have a small community idea that can make a big difference.

Apply for a grant of up to $300, bring your community together for a project or spontaneous event and get your idea off the ground.

Applications for projects by individuals and groups will be considered. The grant will be paid after the project has happened and receipts have been provided.

How it works

  1. Contact your local Community Development Advisor to talk about your idea and check eligibility:
  2. Complete the application form.
  3. Funding approval – you will be informed of the outcome of your application within two weeks.
  4. Take photos before, during and after your event or project. 
  5. Claim your grant by emailing a short report, photos and receipts to the Waihoro Spreydon-Cashmere-Heathcote Community Board.

Apply for a grant of up to $400, bring your community together for a project or spontaneous event and get your idea off the ground. This must be for projects that have not received any Community Board Funding previously.

Applications for projects by individuals and groups will be considered. The grant will be paid after the project has happened and receipts have been provided.
