We are installing a new signalised crossing outside Te Waka Unua School on Ferry Road and a pedestrian refuge island to the west of Smith Street on Ferry Road.
Work includes partial re-surfacing of the road, traffic signals installation, footpath repairs and a traffic island.
We are building new road surfaces, kerbs, footpaths, stormwater drains, landscaping, and adding feature paving. At the same time we will be replacing 33 metres of sewerage pipes on Burgess Street and 100 metres of water mains on Wakefield Avenue. The old sewer and water pipes are at the end of their life span and need replacing before new surfaces and landscaping are installed above them.
Constructing a basketball court and upgrading the carpark next to the existing playground and skate park in Thomson Park. Works will include the basketball court and carpark, installation of paths, cycle stands, seats, rubbish bins and general landscaping and garden renewals.
