From Tuesday 17 November, work will commence in the Elizabeth St/Wainui St intersection. The scope of work involves the removal of the existing kerb and channel, installation of new storm water pipes, new kerb and channel and new road and footpath construction.
The west side of Elizabeth St at Wainui St will be permanently closed and a cul-de-sac constructed. Access to this section of Elizabeth St will be available solely from Centennial Ave.
We know this work is disruptive so we appreciate your patience and understanding. Thanks for your cooperation.
Please note - with the drainage works now underway, the tree on the southwest corner of the Elizabeth St/Matipo St intersection will be removed on Wednesday.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
