This work will allow traffic to pass through the area more easily, provide safer access to schools, as well as safer walking and cycling routes. |
Where |
Canon Street will temporarily have a one way system westbound between Barbadoes Street and Packe Street. Please follow the signs and detours in place. |
When |
Work will start Wednesday 15 July for approximately 6 weeks between 7am to 7pm. |

Details
- Lane changes will occur where required on Canon Street and Packe Street, therefore cones will be placed to confirm which properties will have restricted road side parking
- Take care when exiting driveways and when turning north or south on Packe Street
- We will keep you informed throughout the project with any updates or road traffic changes
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
