What |
We’ll be adding new line markings and green surfacing to the road |
---|---|
Why |
With additional traffic entering the area once the Christchurch Northern Corridor (CNC) is complete, this work will allow people to pass through the area, provide safer access to schools, and add safer walking and cycling routes. |
Where |
Innes Road (Mersey St - Hills Rd) and Westminster Street (Cranford St - Hills Rd) |
When |
Monday 22 June 2020 - July 2020 |
Contact |
Fulton Hogan on 0800 ROAD FH (Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm) or email cant.info@fultonhogan.com. After business hours, please feel free to call us if the matter is urgent. Please advise us if you have specific property and access requirements e.g. vehicle deliveries, medical visits, planned work. |
What are we doing?
From Monday 22 June for approximately one week, between 7am - 7pm, we will be replacing
line markings on:
• Innes Road, between Mersey Street and Hills Road
• Westminster Street, between Cranford Street and Hills Road
These line markings will include new painted cycle lanes along both sides of the road and yellow line markings to restrict parking in places.
We will come back in July to lay green surfacing on areas of both Innes Road and Westminster Street. Side streets will be closed or partially closed when we carry out this work.
Traffic Impacts
Our operations are mobile so a truck will be on site moving as we go.
We will work in areas of on-street parking so at times we will need to place no parking cones out the night before we work. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Access restrictions to your property
We may be situated temporarily in front of your driveway. If you need to enter or exit during this time, please advise one of our friendly staff on site so we can ensure you access.
We ask that during the construction of the transport projects in St Albans, Edgeware and Mairehau, you continue to support the local businesses in your area.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
