Hoon Hay Basin Inlet and Bypass Structure

What

We are creating a new bypass structure to divert the water from the current Hoon Hay Stream alignment into the future under construction Hoon Hay Stormwater Basin for Treatment along with naturally enhanced landscape planting.

Why

Hoon Hay Basin Inlet Structure. This will divert sediment laden water from Hoon Hay Drain through the Hoon Hay Sediment Basin which is part of the integrated Sutherlands and Eastman Stormwater System that provides both water treatment and flood mitigation.

Work will start Wednesday 19th February 2020 until February 2021.

The contractor is Hunter Civil Ltd. Phone 03 381 7094 between 8:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday. Advise us if you have specific property access requirements e.g medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries, planned works.

  • There will be multiple vehicle movement entering and exiting the site.
  • Temporary traffic management will be operating along Cashmere Road during this period.
  • There will be tree felling taking place along the existing stream and the neighbouring property boundary to the East of the site.
  • Renewing and naturalisation of landscape planting to the newly constructed area.
  • There may be increased noise and dust during the construction phase of the project.
