What are we doing?

From Monday 19 November 2019 for two nights, between 7pm and 7am, we will be potholing around the Simeon Quay pump station to confirm the depth of rock.

From Monday 26 November 2019 for approx. two to three weeks, we will be laying new pipe in the road around Simeon Quay pump station. This work will be carried out between 7pm and 7am, Sunday nights to Thursday nights.

Night works

  • The crew need lights to see what they are working on - you will notice extra light coming from the street.
  • There will be noise from trucks, machinery and the crew working overnight. Please be aware that noisy work includes hydro-excavation at times, but will aim to do this earlier in the night, and rock breaking through the nights. A digger will also be used throughout the work.
  • We know night works are more disruptive and we apologise for this. We aim to complete this work as quickly as we can. Night work is required to minimise disruption to traffic.

Traffic impacts

Stop/go will be in place on Simeon Quay near the roundabout while we work (Sundays to Thursdays).

Please be on the lookout for changes in traffic management and follow the signs.
