- Christchurch City Council's contractor will be working at the Russley Road water pump station over the next few months upgrading two below-ground well heads.
- Removal of old unused wells, before leaving site.
- Carry out a new Asphalt reinstatement to the area.
- The work will allow the local pump station to supply residents and businesses in the area with safe drinking water.
- The only impacts to traffic is expected to be a shoulder closure to allow trucks to access and leave the site on certain days with possible lane drop as and when required.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
