Dear Resident,
Thank you for your patience during the Wayside Avenue / Guildford Street water supply upgrade. The Contractor recently completed all the mains and submains in your area. As most of you may have noticed we are changing you over from the old existing main to the new upgraded system. Both mains had to be installed at the same time to ensure the fire fighting capabilities of the system during installation. The next step is to connect the new system to Flay Crescent, Health Street and Grahams Road. There will be times where the Contractor will have to shut down water mains for them to connect to the existing system.
There will be shut down notices delivered to all those residents who will be effected by this process before the shut down. Shut downs will be between 9am & 4pm for a maximum of 4 hours.
Again, thank you for patience with both the water installation and the traffic management involved to undertake this work.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
