Constructing a shared path supported by a rock retaining wall.

Why

Part of the Coastal Pathway route linking Ferrymead Bridge and Scarborough, Sumner.

Where

Between Shag Rock and the Esplanade, near the Sumner Surf Lifesaving Club.

When

Work will start 15 October 2018 to end of October 2019.

The contractor is Fulton Hogan. Phone 0800 275 342 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Advise us if you have specific property access requirements e.g medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries, planned works.

  • Construction of a rock retaining wall.
  • Construction of a shared path.
  • Construction of new access points between the shared path and Sumner Beach.
  • Installation of new street lighting.
  • Reconstruction of the Clifton Hill car park area.
  • Landscaping including new plants and trees.
  • Public drop-in information session to be held on Thursday 18 October 2018 between 2pm and 6pm at Sumner Surf Lifesaving Club.
