The existing backflow valves are prone to blockages and difficult to maintain so are being replaced with a new design. |

New backflow prevention structures are to be constructed over existing outfall pipes at Ebbtide St / Estuary Rd, Ebbtide St / Caspian St. |
When |
February 2022 to early June 2022. Work will be intermittent to align with tidal groundwater levels.(weather/site condition dependent). |

Details
- Installation will be staged with work mainly occurring around the lowest tides in each month.
- Work may occur early or late in the day to work around tidal ground water levels.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
