Consultation on the proposed Rotherham Street bus stop has now closed. People were able to provide feedback from 1 November 2017 to 16 November 2017.

During this time we heard from 16 individuals and groups. You can read their feedback [PDF, 52 KB] and the revised plan [PDF, 921 KB].

What is being proposed

Hassle Free Tours are starting a tour service in November 2017 that will take people around the CBD and Riccarton areas. The service will run every 30 minutes and will take people to key locations in each area.

As a part of their route, Hassle Free Tours are wanting to stop at Riccarton Mall and we are proposing to place a bus stop outside Coffee Culture and Time-Zone on Rotherham Street (refer to the consultation plan [PDF, 849 KB] for more detail).  This will require the removal of four P60 on street car parks.

The bus stop is proposed to operate 9am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday. Outside of these hours, it will revert to car parking.

We are seeking your feedback to include as part of a report to the Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board at their meeting on 10 December 2017.  Prior to the Board meeting, all submitters will be advised of the consultation outcome and the process if you wish to speak to the Community Board regarding your submission.

If the Community Board approve the bus stop location, this will be installed early 2018.
