Young Writers: Encounter Our Stories at The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora

Young people, years 7 to 10, will discover some of the stories behind The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora and respond by writing their own poetry and prose, guided and mentored by tutors from Write On School for Young Writers.

In this Master Class, young people will explore stories to be found in the buildings, rooms and artifacts of The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora.

They will then use the images and stories they have discovered to write in response to their discoveries.

Our skilled Write On tutors will guide them in the creative process of writing and refining their ideas and words.  Completed work will be considered for publication in Write On issue 55 ‘Time Travel’ and for 'Stories on the Go' in partnership with The Commuting Book.

Bookings essential.
