UGLY – The Untold Story Of The Stepsisters follows Olga and Agnes as they set out on an adventurous quest to discover that beauty actually lies within.

This original musical, written by Christchurch-raised Nicky Douglas, grapples with a struggle that is all-too familiar to our youth in the age of social media and teaches children to see goodness as beauty.

UGLY allows even the youngest child to reconsider the labels put on classic archetypes of villains and place the importance of kindness over symmetry.

Premiering at Little Andromeda earlier this year to rave reviews, Blackboard Theatre Collective is thrilled to be able to present UGLY - The Untold Story Of The Stepsisters again as a part of the Made in Canterbury Festival which celebrates local music, theatre, dance, poetry and more.

So don’t miss out on your chance to see the brand new spin on a classic tale, that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and have you bopping along to the dynamic score.
