Notice of Extraordinary Meeting 9 April 2020 Resolutions

An Extraordinary meeting of the Christchurch City Council was held on Thursday 9 April at 10am. In accordance with Section 51A of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, a summary of resolutions from the open part of the meeting is below:

Verbal update by the COVID-19 Incident Management Team Lead

The Council received a verbal update from the COVID-19 Incident Management Team Lead.

Economic Recovery Update

The Council received an update on economic recovery from the Chief Executive of Christchurch City Council and the Chief Executive of ChristchurchNZ.

Draft Outline for Amendments to the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan for the Multi Use Arena

The Council approved a draft outline for amendments to the Central Recovery Plan for the Multi Use Arena to be given to strategic partners to seek their views under the Greater Christchurch Regeneration Act 2016.

The Council requested staff, following strategic partner input on draft and process, prepare a summary and a final draft Outline, with authority for approval delegated to the General Manager Strategy, unless amendments from feedback result in a substantially different effect, in which case the final draft will be reported to the Council for approval.

Christchurch City Holdings Limited - On-Lending Process 2020/21

The Council agreed to provide debt funding to Christchurch City Holdings Ltd during the 2020-21 financial year and to borrow from the Local Government Funding Agency for that purpose within conditions. The Council requested staff report any arrangements in the quarterly finance report.
