Apply for a job at the Council.

As the second largest employer in the South Island and as a diverse business like no other, we have an exciting journey ahead of us to build the world's newest city.

Whether it be staffing the pools, returning loved pets to their owners, enforcing regulations, providing library and recreation services, teaching kids the importance of safe cycling or enabling the city to develop through planning and building, it's our people that make this happen.

And while a large aspect of our work is community facing we also deliver internal services to the organisation such as Human Resources, Accounting & Finance, Customer Services and Administration, IT, the list goes on.

Choosing to join the Council isn't just about doing a job or having a career, it's about being part of an organisation that is truly paving the way and making a difference in the community.

History is being made here every day, here's your chance to be part of it.
