Cast iron sculpture by Phil Price entitled ‘Taking Flight’ (1993) with a drinking fountain set into the centre of the ‘neck’

Botanical Gardens on river bank in Murray Aynsley Lawn.

Highly ornate cast iron fountain set in large circular pool. A rare example of this type of Edwardian design, the fountain was recommissioned in 1996 and opened by Mayor Vicki Buck.
